I am a Registered Psychotherapist and I specialize in counselling teens, young adults, and their families.
With over 25 years of experience working with youth and parents in several settings, I bring a tremendous amount of relevant experience to my work. I have provided counselling to adolescents in schools, residential and day treatment programs, foster homes, and at an accredited children's mental health center. I have also contributed to the development of a training program for mental health providers, "Bringing Family Engagement into Action."
My qualifications include a Masters degree in Counselling with a specialization in Counselling Psychology, a BA in Psychology, and a Diploma in Child and Youth Work. I am also a certified professional member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA), and part of the tragic event response team for a local secondary school.
I work with clients and families to understand and overcome challenges, and to build strong communication and trust in the process. My approach is respectful, collaborative, and positive. I believe in a multifaceted approach to counselling, which integrates emotional, cognitive, physical, relational, and spiritual well-being.
Fee for regular 50 minute session: $170 (no HST required)
Please note: I am currently maintaining a waitlist for after school and evening appointments.
